Typical industry figures to help you choose. Exact dimensions, tonnage, and pricing are confirmed on your quote and vary by area and provider.

How to choose the right size

  • Volume and weight both matter. Light, bulky debris fills a big box fast; dense material hits the weight limit while the box still looks half empty.
  • Heavy debris goes small. Concrete, brick, dirt, and asphalt belong in a 10- or 12-yard to stay under the weight cap.
  • Between sizes? Size up. The larger box usually beats paying for a second haul.
  • Not sure? Describe the job. Tell us the debris and rough volume and we’ll recommend a size.

What can’t go in a roll-off

Haulers and landfills prohibit hazardous and specially regulated material. Rules vary by area and are confirmed on your quote:

  • Hazardous waste — paint, chemicals, solvents
  • Liquids and automotive fluids (oil, antifreeze, fuel)
  • Batteries (car, lithium, industrial)
  • Tires
  • Appliances / electronics with refrigerants
  • Asbestos-containing materials
  • Medical waste
  • Propane tanks & pressurized containers
  • Flammable or radioactive materials
