FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions contractors ask most — how SITE PRO works, and what to know about each site service. Don’t see yours? Send it with your project and we’ll answer it directly.
Working with SITE PRO
Can I request multiple services in one go?
Yes — that’s the point. One Project Mobilization request can combine sanitation, fencing, dumpsters, a site office, and power, so you’re not contacting a separate company for each.
Who actually delivers and services the equipment?
A network of independent, qualified service providers delivers and services the equipment on site. SITE PRO stays your single point of contact and coordinates it all.
Is my project in your service area?
Add your project address on the request and we’ll confirm coverage for your area before anything is scheduled.
What does it cost to request a quote?
Requesting a quote is free. Pricing for the services themselves is based on your location, duration, quantities, and service needs, and is confirmed for your project before anything is scheduled.
What if I don’t know exact quantities yet?
Give your best estimate and add notes. Rough numbers are fine to start — we’ll help confirm the details before anything is finalized.
Can I change or add services after I request?
Plans shift on a jobsite. One call to SITE PRO updates your services with the providers, and nothing is scheduled until you approve it.
Portable Sanitation questions
How many restrooms does my site need?
OSHA sets the minimum — roughly one toilet for up to 20 workers, scaling up from there — and a common planning rule is one unit per 10 workers on a weekly service schedule. Shift length, project duration, and summer heat all factor in. Tell us about the job and we’ll recommend the right mix.
How often are the units serviced?
Standard service is weekly, which includes pump-out, cleaning, and restocking paper, soap, and sanitizer. High-traffic sites and restroom trailers often move to twice-weekly or more. We set a schedule to match your crew size and usage.
Do I also need hand-washing stations?
Yes. OSHA requires washing facilities on site, so most jobs pair restrooms with foot-pump wash stations or a trailer with built-in sinks. We make sure soap, water, and drying are covered, not just the toilets.
Can you meet ADA accessibility requirements?
Yes. Wheelchair-accessible units are available and are often required on public-facing or publicly funded work. Let us know your site’s requirements and we’ll include the right accessible units in the plan.
Will the units work in winter?
Cold-weather and heated options are available for winter and high-altitude work, and service schedules can be adjusted for freeze conditions. Share your location and timeline and we’ll plan around the weather.
What access do you need for delivery and service?
Units are delivered and serviced by truck, so we need a clear, reachable placement spot and room for the service vehicle to get close. Tell us about site access and surface conditions and we’ll confirm placement before delivery.
Temporary Fencing questions
What if I don’t know exact fence footage?
Give us your best estimate — walk the perimeter and add up the rough lengths — plus where you want gates. We help confirm the details before anything is finalized, so an approximate number is enough to get started.
Panel fencing or driven-post — which do I need?
Panel fencing installs fast, moves easily, and suits shorter projects and hard surfaces. Driven-post fencing is more secure and rigid for longer builds but needs diggable ground. Share your timeline and surface conditions and we’ll recommend the right one.
Can the fence handle high wind, especially with screen?
Yes, with the right setup. Privacy screen catches wind, so exposed sites need extra bracing and heavier bases. We account for wind load when we plan the layout so the fence stays standing.
Do you provide gates for vehicles and pedestrians?
Yes. Swing and rolling gates are available for equipment and vehicle access, along with pedestrian gates and barricades for walkways. Note where you need each and we’ll size the openings.
Can I add traffic control for a work zone?
Yes. Cones, signs, arrow boards, and message boards are available alongside fencing for work zones and roadwork. Tell us about the traffic situation and we’ll include the right equipment.
Dumpster Services questions
What size dumpster do I need?
It depends on both the volume and the weight of your debris. As a guide, 10-yard suits heavy concrete and dirt, 20-yard fits most remodels, 30-yard handles larger renovations, and 40-yard is for bulky commercial debris. Tell us about the project and we’ll recommend the right size.
Why does heavy debris go in a smaller container?
Dense material like concrete, brick, and dirt hits the hauler’s weight limit long before it fills a large box. A 10-yard container keeps you under the weight cap and avoids overage fees. We’ll flag this when we size your order.
What materials aren’t allowed?
Hazardous and regulated items — liquids, paint, tires, batteries, appliances with refrigerant, and asbestos among them — are generally prohibited, and rules vary by hauler and landfill. Tell us what you’re disposing of and we’ll confirm what’s allowed in your area.
How much space do you need to drop a dumpster?
The truck needs a straight, clear approach and firm ground, with overhead clearance for the lifting arm — a 40-yard needs roughly 60 feet of straight space. Share your placement spot and we’ll confirm access before delivery.
Can I schedule pickups and swap-outs?
Yes. Exchanges and hauls are coordinated around your schedule, so a full box gets emptied or swapped without stalling the job. Let us know your expected pace and we’ll plan the rotation.
Site Trailers & Offices questions
Can I get an office and storage together?
Yes — office/storage combos put a workspace and a locked storage area in one unit, and standalone containers can be added alongside a trailer. Tell us how you’ll use the space and we’ll configure it.
What size office do I need?
Plan around peak indoor headcount. A single-wide suits a superintendent and a small team; a double-wide adds room for plan tables, meetings, and multiple desks. Let us know how many people need space at once.
What do you need to deliver and set up a trailer?
A reasonably level, truck-accessible spot with room to place the unit, plus a plan for steps or an ADA ramp at the door. Share your placement area and we’ll confirm it works before delivery.
Do trailers come with power and HVAC?
Units include climate control, and we coordinate the power they need — which is why temporary power is a common add-on. Confirm your power, HVAC, and security needs early and we’ll build them into the plan.
How do I pick between a forklift and a telehandler?
It comes down to your heaviest load, the height you need to reach, and the terrain. Telehandlers reach higher and handle rough ground; standard forklifts suit flatter sites. Tell us all three and we’ll match the machine.
Temporary Power questions
Will SITE PRO size the generator for me?
We collect the right details — your equipment list, voltages, and runtime — and a qualified provider or electrician confirms the final size, including the surge that motors draw on startup. Sizing electrical equipment is a safety matter, so it’s always confirmed by a qualified pro.
Why is my generator bigger than my total wattage?
Motors, compressors, and pumps pull several times their running current for a moment when they start. A generator sized only to the running total will stall under that surge, so proper sizing builds in starting-load headroom.
Do I need GFCI protection on site?
Yes. NEC Article 590 and OSHA require ground-fault protection on the receptacles crews use, plus proper grounding. Distribution panels and spider boxes provide code-compliant, protected outlets instead of unsafe daisy-chained cords.
How do you get power across a large site?
Through distribution panels, spider boxes, and rated cable routed to avoid trip hazards, standing water, and traffic. We plan drop points around where the work happens so crews have safe power where they need it.
Can you cover lighting, heating, and cooling too?
Yes. Light towers, temporary heaters, and spot coolers are available alongside power. Because they add to your load, we factor them into the generator sizing rather than bolting them on later.
Still have a question? Send it with your project.
Tell SITE PRO what your project needs — sanitation, fencing, dumpsters, a site office, power. One request, one point of contact, and rough numbers are fine to start.
